The 2 following documents were presented by GRET at the 8th World Bamboo Congress, Bangkok, September 2009:

1. creating sustainable jobs and incomes NW bamboo SC in Vietnam/ A discussion on the different approaches to reach poverty reduction through the development of bamboo supply chain in NW Vietnam: how can poverty reduction be effectively achieved and measured; which kind of development should be promoted, and how should one intervene in market systems without creating distortion?

2. OFR for development of bamboo plantations in NW Vietnam/ During 3 years, GRET led on-farm-research and extension work Thanh Hoa, on intercropping in new bamboo plantations. What are the main lessons which can be drawn from this experience, from both technical and methodological point of views.
